Dr. Myriam Edwards-Miller is a double board-certified primary care physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. After completing medical school in Puerto Rico, Dr. Edwards-Miller moved to the U.S. to complete her Internal Medicine residency and Geriatric Medicine fellowship at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. She spent several years in Michigan practicing in a wide range of clinical settings, including primary care, hospital, and extended care facilities. In addition, Dr. Edwards-Miller taught as an associate professor at Michigan State and served as the Program Director for Hurley Medical Centers Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program. the years, Dr. Edwards-Miller has been recognized a number of times for her leadership and the wonderful care she provides her patients, including the 2005 Michigan Governor's Award for Excellence, the 2010 Geriatric Fellowship Professionalism Award, and the 2012 Health Care Hero Award. Dr. Edwards-Miller moved to Florida in 2016 and has been an outstanding addition to VIPcare. In her free time, Dr. Edwards-Miller enjoys cooking for her family and reading all types of genres. A native of the Dominican Republic, she loves to escape to the Caribbean Islands to spend time on the beautiful palm-lined beaches.
