Board Certified Pediatric Dentist & Tongue Tie SpecialistDr. Gayathri Raju is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and Tongue Tie Specialist who leads Pediatric Dentistry of Ocala with a philosophy rooted in prevention, whole-child wellness, and compassionate, judgement-free care. She earned her DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville and completed her pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Florida, Naples, later placing in the top three percent in the nation on her board qualifying exam, an accomplishment recognized with the 2018 Pugh Award. As the region's provider of Light Scalpel laser frenectomies and IV sedation, she offers families conservative, airway-focused options delivered with the patience and warmth that put even the most nervous little ones at ease. Dr. Raju believes early, positive dental experiences build a lifelong foundation for health, and she takes genuine joy in educating children and their families along the way. Originally from Bangalore, India, she and her husband Mehdi have made Ocala their home, where they enjoy gardening, traveling, and exploring new cuisines together.
